Connecting Open Education to User-Centered Design Courses at Kingsborough
When I started the Open Pedagogy Fellowship, I thought I was reasonably prepared with materials in my classes already. Most of my materials were built around project based learning and I have my syllabi up on the commons. Especially with the more technology heavy classes, I’m used to ebbing and flowing with the learners speeding up or slowing down and looking to give extra assignments to more advanced students. New Tool: Manifold Platform
After our last meeting, I was interested in learning more about CUNY’s installation of Manifold. Manifold’s intuitive, collaborative platform seems ideal for the next open-source project I’m interested in developing. I created an account and submitted a proposal, which was accepted. My intention is to upload digital texts and multi-media resources that are openly licensed and/or in the public domain that will encourage student input and dialogue.
