I am new to Open pedagogy, I have no experience with it but I am more than excited to have this experience. I believe that this is a great opportunity for not only the teachers but also the students. Its rare that students really speak to professors outside of a classroom setting. Having the students voice their opinion is really important because a lot of these professors though they are trying, don’t know what it’s like to be a student in today’s society(especially during a pandemic) This is a great because now teachers and students are able to communicate! I can’t wait to see what this will bring.

Thank you for your post and your enthusiasm! I so agree with you- it’s been a long time (sometimes decades) since many instructors have been students- we may not remember accurately, and even if we did, our experience is likely very different than what is facing our students (there are many structural reasons for this, like state and federal disinvestment in higher education for one). I am so grateful you will be working with us this semester!
